Interior

7 x 5, oil on linen
mounted to wood
(ready to hang or frame)

I have a studio space in Franklin Ohio. Some of the spae adjoin, si when you open the doors you can see from one space to the next and so on. Many of my favorite painters including Cole Carothers and Edward Hopper have painted this sort of interior/exterior subject. Doorways and windows are metaphors for many things depending on the viewer. This painting is about where I am, and where I am going.

...and so, if we take this litteraly,
it seems to be a beautiful opened place fulfilled with light.
Interesting subject for a small piece
of that scale Greg.

I am thinking: Hammershoi!
Yes, great fit of subject on the scale and lovely painting preceding this one. Glad to be sharing the DP Marketplace with you!
